Mort eats in a new place April 27th

There is more to learn all the time about feeding and caring for a red-eared slider turtle. One of the best suggestions for keeping his tank clean is to put him in a separate tub when feeding him. This happens every 3 days now, because it turns out that adult turtles should be fed on that schedule.
Mort is transferred to a tub with water in it because turtles need to be swimming to catch their food. A turtle should get the amount of food that would fit in its head if it was hollow. A combination of Mort's regular food (soaked in tuna fish water to make it taste more interesting) and dried meal worms, shrimp, and crickets was put in with him. He LOVED this food!! There were apple bits and green beans, too, though he ignored those.
I liked how some of the food got stuck on Mort's back. And on his nose.
